After making a reservation, I entered the store with my wife at 11:30 on Sunday, November 10th. The view of Matsushima Bay is the best from the second floor. I have 2 plates of raw oysters, 2 plates of baked shellfish, bottled beer, oyster tempura, and my wife has 1 plate of baked shellfish and oyster tempura. The oyster tempura is the best, not fried too much, the way of the fire is exquisite, and the seasoning is also elegant. Raw oysters and baked shells were large and pre-prepared. In front of the store there was a line of people who did not make a reservation and waited for the reservation customers to finish eating. For this reason, it is better to stop adding food while drinking. The next group of about 10 people ordered additional grilled shells, and Nakai was cautioned. We recommend making a reservation on Saturdays and Sundays, and ordering in bulk.I have eaten conger eel last summer, and this time I came from Tokyo to eat oysters, but it is definitely recommended.
The scenery was good ~I had sea urchin bowl and sea urchin bowl. The fishfish and homemade salmon roe were delicious!
Room is very clean . food is tradition Japanese style with a huge portion of seafood
Fairly good tempura and a view over the bay from the seated tables upstairs.
Popular stores lined up for about 30 minutesMatsushima conger bowlSanriku Mekabudon (Hana)Conger delicious ...I'm not good at eel but I like congerI ate this amount for the first timeIt was sticky and delicious! â—ŽI'm glad I came here
I had a wonderful experience in Santori Chaya. I went on my own so I could only sit in front on the counter on the first floor but if you are a group you can go upstairs where you have the traditional japanese tables, try to get one that faces the window to have a beautiful view of Matsushima's bay. They have an English menu so it's easy to order even if you are foreigner, prices are quite low and the food is exquisite. I had vinegar oysters as an appetizer (highly recommended) and a sashimi set for 2000 yen... Fabulous!
I cannot suggest this place enough. The oysters were so good we didn't even bother looking for another restaurant for our second night Matsushima. Try the eel, too. English menu available.
Very nice. High quality food. The service could be better but acceptable.
A general who is good and reticent, a friendly and beautiful landlady. It was really fun alone. Last year I could take my daughter with me. A nice homey store!
This was soooo nice. Thoroughly enjoyed.
The food was delicious and the staff where lovely and welcoming. I would gladly go and visit again.
Matsushima Anagoi is just a float! Tuna bowl is also reasonable and delicious. If you like thick oyster shell grilled by all means
It was delicious with famous incense rice bowl, fluffy. There is a reservation for the first turn of the day. It seems that it is prepared at all than the limited number of meals that are on the guidebook.
Both grilled salmon and sweet potato are very delicious.
Fair price. Excellent food. Passionate staff. Highly recommended.
Went to the place with the longest line and ordered the Oyster set lunch. The local Oysters are super plump, fresh and delicious. Worth the wait
Confucius was delicious, but it is an impression that it is a store for tourists who is common. If it is not sightseeing spot it is feeling that I do not visit again. I think that Kospa was also delicious as well as the one who liked the shopping cart of the Confucius Box in Sendai City and passed well.
I went to eat conger. It was very soft and delicious. The first floor was full and the second floor was shown. The table is arranged in the hall and the atmosphere is not good, but the scenery is good.It is hard to pass through the bar in the nearby cafeteria, and the parking lot is small.
Had a pleasent meal. Staffs can understand English and accomodate food restrictions.
I entered lunch when I stopped at Matsushima. It was a shop for tourists, but the Anashi mochi was thick and plump and delicious. I also had a sashimi of sea squirt that I had avoided a little for a while, but it was easy to eat though it was fresh or something like that. It seems that the seats were open only on the second floor and the counter on the first floor was not used. However, I had the impression that the number of seats was a little crowded during lunch, as there were only 4 or 5 tables for 4 people. I think that it is perfect to take a short break in the teahouse, as the view is also good in the parlor.
It was delicious soft bamboo bowl. Since there are no boards to write names, it will line up in front of the store. I went on Sunday, but it is a pretty good line if it is too late. You should go early!
Excellent tuna sashimi, friendly chef, and our first gyuutan (beef tongue) which was delicious.
Raw oysters were fresh and delicious. And it was cheap.
The first floor is a counter seat. The second floor is a table seat (take off your shoes and go up) and you can see the sea.I ordered Matsushima Anago Don. Not only the conger but also the rice was delicious.
Visited after 1pm on weekdays. We ordered the famous conger eel, grilled oysters, and scallop sashimi. I was able to eat relaxedly while looking at Matsushima.
I came to Matsushima because I wanted to eat Matsushima Ago seagull on which the guidebook appeared.Anago was plump and delicious. But, a woman general? ? It was disappointing that the loveliness of was bad.
